Ooooh it was real leather?? What a delightful surprise! I knew it was a
quality piece when I grabbed it (real leather or faux), but since it wasn't
quite what I'm looking for in a black bag, I knew you'd be happier with it
:)

I scored some awesome stuff too! A real suede skirt by Isaac Mizrahi for
Target... so not dying over the amazing brand, but it's adorable... and a
couple of other stuff I'll show off on the blog soon.

Hi Chelsea! I did get some good stuff. I was greedy and grabbed a bunch of the Lulu's earrings though they're all similar. But the best part is the black bag you were so nice to pass to me! I didn't realize it at the time but it is real leather with protective feet and good-quality hardware.

Hats are good for the winter/fall but those beanies always make me look like a Q-tip.

I suffer from hat-confusion as well. There is just something that always seems... off... when I try to wear them. I mean, aside from cowgirl hats that is (and I usually only wear those for line dancing or country music concerts...). But then my friend Anthea was telling me about all of her hats... and now I think I want to try again. I mean... they keep you warmer right? That's gotta be good in this crazy climate!

P.S. I love the cowgirl hat on you. And why have I never watched How I Met Your Mother? So many cool peeps say it's good.

You are not alone! Head coverings mystify me, too. Scarves tied around my head look idiotic and headbands sproing right off the back of my head, no joke. I do ok with hats, but it takes the right style, for sure. I think you look super cute in that cowgirl hat, rock it!

That's true but I felt like a lot of people were discounting Galliano's successes as a designer because he turned out an anti-Semite. Dior firing him was partly a PR decision, I understand, but I feel like they were also saying he wasn't a good enough designer to keep around. I know if I were Dior and was happy with his work, I would have kept him and supported him through rehab and rebuilding his image.

It's definitely a fine line to walk! I think that there are ways to say, "I don't think a person's personal life without impacting their artistic presence." It's similar to Michael Jackson, in a way-- some people were glad he died, being a child molester (which is still a debatable topic). Many mourned the loss of a great musical artist. Who we are impacts the art we make, but at the same time, our personal beliefs and feelings don't necessarily negate our artistic genius.

Oh I know! I ordered some The Limited stuff when they had a 40% off sale and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of everything. Unfortunately the dress I ordered didn't fit too well in the bust and I had to return it. :(

The bronze shoes and clutch would make the dress more sophisticated, yes! Great idea.

The Limited actually makes GREAT dresses. I'm a big (secret) fan of their waist whittling summer frocks. So... with this dress? Hard to say, there's a lot happening with that print. It's screams Easter Sunday to me, so I'd have to wear it with a coordinating lavender cardi and a bronze clutch & bronze cork wedges. Gold would be too much.
